No — just a valid driver's license. All cart drivers must be 21 or older, and every driver must be added to the rental agreement at delivery. Bikes, kayaks, and paddleboards don't require a license.
Our carts are street-legal Low Speed Vehicles (LSVs), permitted on roads posted 35 mph or less. That covers Clearwater Beach, Island Estates, and Sand Key. Carts are not allowed on the sand itself, on sidewalks, or on the Memorial Causeway to the mainland.
The bay side (Intracoastal Waterway) is calm, protected water — perfect for beginners and great for dolphin spotting. We'll point you to the best launch spots at delivery, including the mangrove trails near Caladesi Island for more adventurous paddlers.
Yes — delivery and pickup are free anywhere on Clearwater Beach, Island Estates, and Sand Key, for every rental type. Delivery to nearby areas like Belleair Beach or Dunedin is available for a small fee.
Carts have roofs and rain enclosures available on request. If severe weather washes out the majority of your rental day — or makes the water unsafe for paddling — we'll work with you to reschedule or credit your rental. We're beach people, we get it.
Carts arrive fully charged and most rentals never need a top-up — a full charge covers a whole day of island cruising. For multi-day rentals we include a charger that plugs into a standard outlet; just plug in overnight.
Cancel up to 48 hours before your rental for a full refund. Inside 48 hours, we'll issue a credit good for 12 months.
